About The Artist – Ellisha Katheryn
Hi!
I’m Ellisha the Artist / Animal lover behind EK Animal Art.
I am 22 and a local artist originally from Leigh but now Living in Lowton,
I’m autistic and sometimes struggle with social situations but through my art and meeting new clients I’ve learnt to believe in myself more and see my disability in a different light. When I was first diagnosed I’d just started high school, bullied and anxious, I found peace in spending time with my pets, going for riding lessons and expressing myself creatively through art. My coping mechanism quickly became a hobby, and my hobby my passion – I’m now proud to call myself a full artist and I absolutely love what I do.
Running a small business can be hard work, but I’ve been very fortunate to be able to share journey with so many wonderful people. My partner, mum, sister and Nan are some of my biggest supporters… ever! I’m grateful to all of them for believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself and I am who I am today thanks to all of them.
I specialize in bespoke pet portraits, but also create and sell original artwork and prints and more to clients around the world.
