FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Find the answers to some of my most commonly asked questions below
Booking a portrait couldn’t be easier, all you need to do is contact me to discuss what you’d like and I’ll add you to my diary. All I need from you is a clear reference photo to work from, alongside the size and style of portrait you’d like. If you’re unsure of what reference photo to choose I’m always here to help.
Yes! Portraits make great personalized gifts, I’ve had clients order for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Christmas and more! If you’re ordering a gift as a secret let me know and I’ll be sure to keep it hush on my socials too so it arrives as a complete suprise for your friends/loved ones.
I can post to you or directly to them in gift wrapping, the choice is up to you!
The best reference photos are clear and taken in good lighting at eye level with the animal, the more detail that you can see in a reference photo the more lifelike your portrait will be.
Professionally taken images are great and always welcome but you must have permission from your photographer for it to be used as a reference if you didn’t take the image yourself.
That depends on a lot of things, like how much detail your reference photo has and the size/style you have ordered
If you’d like an update on the progress of your order you can contact me anytime
Yes!
Even if I don’t have a photograph of them together?
Also yes! I do this most commonly with memorial portraits, I can combine a few different reference photos into the same portrait, the most important thing is that the photos are similar (for example all taken from the same (or similar angle) in similar lighting). For multiple pets in the same image I’m always happy to discuss layouts and send a draft version digitally for you to approve before making a start
Yes, I largely use Royal Mail and ParcelForce to send my portraits and can send them anywhere around the globe. Each portrait is very carefully backed, wrapped and placed in a special box to prevent damage in the post. They each have their own cellophane bag to prevent water damage too
